Founded in 1992, the Central Coast Patent Agency team has issued more than 1,000 patents for its clients

Central Coast Patent Agency will celebrate its 20th anniversary in November. The firm has launched an updated website with information for inventors, start-ups, and those who want to start or increase their patent portfolio. As part of a year-long series of anniversary activities, a combined ribbon cutting with the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce and Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce will be held in October.

Donald R. Boys, CCPA president and founder, said the America Invents Act and the recent announcement that a new regional U.S. Patent Office in nearby San Jose, where many clients are based, have been significant boosts to his business.

Founded in 1992, the Central Coast Patent Agency team has issued more than 1,000 patents for its clients. Unlike many other patent firms, Central Coast Patent Agency operates on a flat fee system, which Boys said enables clients to accurately budget iIP expenses. This allows CCPA to help start-up companies manage their IP rapidly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost.
